Sheryl Matthys' passion for homeless dogs and her rescued Greyhounds led her to create Leashes and Lovers, FetchaFriend, and FetchaBiz for dog lovers everywhere to share their love of dogs and be a part of the mission to find all dogs loving homes.

Sheryl is The Dog Expert, a certified dog trainer with a psychology degree and master's in Radio/TV.  She is a savvy dog enthusiast with the expertise to discuss issues dog owners have regarding their dogs from behavior, training, and even decor for your home with your dog in mind!

She is a volunteer for the The Good Dog Foundation with her Greyhound certified therapy dog, Shiraz. Sheryl has been at the forefront of fundraising for various animal charities including the ASPCA with Leashes and Lovers events and online dog lovers social community. With more than 10 years experience as a show host, actress, and former TV/Radio news reporter, Sheryl is well versed to handle any interview or host a show. Her media expertise led to her experience as a former adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame, St. Mary's and Indiana University - SB.
