Zeus is Back!
I was asked to review this movie - The Dog Who Saved Halloween!
Especially since I have young kids, it sounded like a movie they especially would enjoy.
So I popped some popcorn and we settled in for the next 90 minutes. My kids stayed captivated and at times snuggled closer to me - a bit spooked. But the cute dogs antics made all turn out well so my kids were relieved.
It's one of those movies where the animals talk to one another. Joey Lawrence is the voice of Zeus and it's nice that you'll recognize many of the actors in it - so the acting is good.
It does have some adult humor that mostly goes over littles ones heads but being a kids movie, it includes gross bathroom humor like flatulance and dog poop antics.
Now, here's what it's about!
Just before Halloween, George (Gary Valentine of "The King of Queens") is walking his dog Zeus and notices odd lights and sounds coming from his strange neighbor's house.
George takes it upon himself to find out what is going on calling for a community meeting. His neighbors and wife roll their eyes and tell him to stay out of it. So he instead spies on his neighbor with a telescope convinced something bad is going on in there.
Too curious, George figures who else to help him investigate than two bumbling burglars.
After the trio and George's wife, Belinda, get trapped in the spooky house, only Zeus is left to save Halloween.
If you have little ones, grab it on Amazon or you can even find it in Red Box rentals.
